4 months and counting....
Caleb is finally starting to learn how to turn over and crawl.
He can lift his head up already. Amazing. haha
He is really a darling. We were told to train him how to sleep through the night but we didnt. Now he is sleeping through the night by himself.haha. At times he can sleep up to 12 hours.
Next step, we will hope to see him crawl by himself.......

4th May 2008
Baby Caleb had finally arrived. After a long tedious wait...
NUH 'A' ward at Kent Ridge Wing was really cool.
Baby was sooooooooo small. could carry him in one hand. He slept with us for the first night then on the second night, we told the nurse to push him back to the nursery cause it was really cold in the night, so might not be that good for him.
Thank God for a smooth delivery though. Really fast can...
haha
Mummy got her first contraction at 3.45am. very inconsistant, coming on and off like every 45 mins or so, thus the hospital told her to wait awhile more. Then at 5.30am, her contractions became more consistant and we started our preparation to go to the hospital. Mummy took a LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG bath before we set off to NUH at about 615am. Arrived at A&E around 6.30am. Hurriedly parked the car then ran up to the delievery suite. The doctors and nurses did alot of checks and tests before our Gynae arrived. At about 7.30am, the doctor started to prepare the room, thus we realised the time is coming. Our Gynae arrived at about 7.40am, then she left to change before returning again. Super fast. Haha.
Finally the push begun at about 8am. Was expecting a long process but..... to our surprise..... Caleb's head came out at 8.40am. His whole body came out subsequently at 8.45am which was the official time or birth. Very fast right.
Took a rest in the delivery suite then mummy was wheeled back to the room to rest at 10am. Both of us were soooo hungry, so I went to get some food. Went to the carpark to get the car and drove to Kent Ridge's carpark then took the elevator up to the kopitiam. Bought lots of food. Haha. Had chicken rice, beef soto, dumplings, etc.... Was indeed a feast.
In the hours and days to come, we had lots of visitors. Thank you very much to all who came. Really appreciate your love for baby Caleb and your gifts too. Thank you.

Hello! Today is my last day checking up in NUH as a subsidised baby. I will be transferring over to Kent Ridge Wing the next visit. Yippee!
Set off in the morning at 8am. We were caught in a massive jam all the way to NUH. The doctor did a scan to see whether I am doing well.... and I turned out perfect. haha
After that went over to Kent Ridge Wing to look for auntie Siling. She brought us around to see the rooms that my mummy will be staying and also then room that I will be delivered. So sweet right? hehe
Well, after that we went home. Wasn't much of a fuss this time cause I was a very good boy and I am also very healthy. Hehe
So.... I will see you in 2 weeks time where I will do my first check up at the Kent Ridge Wing. Bye
Let me tell you something interesting about myself. My humorous daddy is Aaron and my pretty mummy is Christina. Therefore, I believe I will be a very charming young lad.
I have 2 aunties, the elder, Demi and the younger, Joey. They have been very sweet and loving towards me. Besides my dearest Daddy and Mummy, they were the first to have bought me a very attractive and cute present. Guess what is it? Bingo, you are right. It is a very huge Mickey Mouse. It is bigger than me you know.
It has been a long 28 weeks in mummy's womb. I started off with loads of space in mummy's womb but till now, as I grow in size, my mobility area is greatly reduced.
Let me illustrate to you my previous two scans. The first was in 12th october 2007. I was 10 weeks then. Do I look cute? Of course. I have my parents genes, thats why. My second exposure was when I was 20 weeks old. haha. The day was none other than 4th Jan 2008. It was so fun because it was the first time anyone knows that I am a boy. There were so many exciting incidents during that visit. First, the doctor tried to scan for my legs with toes and hands with fingers. As she tried to search for my fingers to ensure that they were healthy, I hid my right hand. hehe. Cheeky huh. It was until when daddy told me," Baby Caleb, where is your hand? Can you show the doctor? Baby good boy ok?" It was such a loving voice that I couldn't resist but raised my hand for the doctor to see. I wriggled my fingers you know! The next detail I showed was..... my little winkie. hehe. I raised my legs and spread it wide open. It was so obvious you know.
In between the 2 scans, was a unfortunate one. Mummy's grandma which is my great-grandma passed away. Mummy was so sad that she didn't have the appetite to eat. I could feel mummy's pain and anguish but there was nothing I could do. I did my best to be a very good boy in mummy's womb. It was saddening to feel mummy shrinking. A few days later, my worried daddy brought mummy and me to the doctor because he was anxious as to how was I. Thus, I felt loved. I realized my Daddy and Mummy were really concerned about me. I was elated. I sat up facing the screen smiling and swaying to and fro. I could hear my parents joyful laughter on seeing me. I felt comforted to be able to be the joy of my parents. That sense of achievement was simply fabulous and stunning.
Well, thats about all for now. I will reveal myself again soon. Till then goodbye. Love you. Muack!
yours lovingly,
Caleb Fong
